Hammonds Band Perform at the Piece Hall, Halifax

During the end of May, the Piece Hall hosted an event called ‘Restitch it - The Social Fabric Summit’.  It brought together leading politicians, community and faith leaders, leading thinkers, and ordinary citizens to generate ideas, momentum and conversations to renew society in the wake of coronavirus. At a time of rising interest in the role of social institutions and networks in supporting democracy and economic prosperity, the aim of the summit was to identify how we can create more connected and rooted societies. The event was organised by Onward and Create Streets.

Feedback from the event manager, “The band was AMAZING. We were so, so lucky to have them as it added a whole wonderful new dimension to the summit as they guests arrived in the morning (sun!).  One guest even said their playing as he walked into the Piece Hall had him on the verge of tears…”
