Coalburn welcome Russell Gray

The Coalburn Brass Band Family were absolutely thrilled to welcome Russell Gray back to the band hall earlier this month and are indebted to Yamaha for the opportunity to work with our musicians.

Russell met with members from all of our ensembles, taking us through his Messanoic method which focuses on sound, intonation, dynamic control, breathing, articulation, improving focus and rhythm. Music from Norwegian composer Frederick Schjelderup was also worked on during the session

A huge thank you to Russell and Yamaha for delivering this session.

The Coalburn organisation looks forward to recommencing rehearsals across all ensembles in August following the forthcoming National Youth Brass Band of Scotland summer course where a total of 12 Coalburn players will participate.
