169th British Open
As banding in the UK gets back to the rehearsal rooms and preparations for concerts and contesting attention for 18 of the top-flight bands turns to the 169th British Open, the British bands will be joined this year by Valaisia.
The contest is being held at Symphony Hall in Birmingham on Saturday 9th September and the bands will all be playing ‘Sand and Stars’ from French composer Thierry Deleruyelle.
The first band will take to the stage at 10am and with 18 bands playing the 18 minute piece the results are expected at around 8pm
