Grimethorpe announce partnership with Denis Wick

Grimethorpe Colliery Band are delighted to announce a new partnership with Denis Wick Products Limited. The partnership will allow the well-known mouthpiece and mute manufacturer to work with the world famous Grimethorpe Colliery Band in what will hopefully be a long-term relationship for both parties

“We’re delighted to be working with Denis Wick in what we hope will be a long-term relationship that benefit us both. Chris Binns, Helen Varley and Adam Bokaris are already Artists for the Denis Wick Brand, and we felt that the next logical step would be a relationship with the whole band. Denis Wick have already been very helpful in providing existing prototype mutes for the area test piece Red Priest and we hope that working with such an eminent and well-respected brand will help our goal to become a more visible band both within the brass band movement and the wider world of brass music. It’s an easy fit for us as so many of the band are already using Denis Wick mouthpieces and mutes and have done so since a young age. For me personally as a trombone player, I’ve been using my 4AL since I was about 11, and I know that is the case for a lot of the band. It’s also great to be working with Brett Baker who has already been very helpful and enthusiastic.”

Band Manager

Brett Baker Marketing Lead commented “As a big supporter of Grimethorpe Colliery Band, I am really pleased that Denis Wick and the band will have a much closer association with DWP to test products and give feedback on new designs. I wish the band every success at the Yorkshire Area and look forward to working with the ensemble on future projects”.
