The EIBBSS 10th Anniversary Concert with Guests The Cory Band and Guest Artists Daniel Thomas (Euphonium) and Stephanie Binns (Flugel) is taking place on Saturday 29th July at Routh Hall, Bromsgrove School. A concert that is sure to be a real highlight at the end of the Summer School 2023.
The concert starts at 7pm at Bromsgrove School and tickets are still available from the Bromsgrove School Box Office, tickets are £20 and £17 Concessions.
The highlight of the Concert by Cory will be the performance of 'Venice - Concerto for Euphonium' Composed by Judith Bingham and played by Dan Thomas.
Pieces on the programme from the EIBBSS bands are Philip Sparkes ‘A Tameside’ Overture, Kenneth Downie ‘In Perfect Piece’ and a Solo from Stephanie Binns from Paul Saggers entitled ‘Chapel Rock at Sunset’. From Cory there is ‘Birdland’ arr. Sandy Smith, ‘The Rings of Saturn’ by Philip Harper (worth the entry fee by itself) and ‘A Dr Who Fantasy’ from Ron Gainer/Philip Harper. This is just a taster of what is on offer from what promises to be a great concert.
