Irvine & Dreghorn retain their Borders title

Irvine & Dreghorn Brass successfully defended their ‘champion band’ title at yesterday’s Borders entertainment contest.

With an entry of 14 bands, each playing a 15-minute programme of own-choice music, the event was organised by the Scottish Borders Brass Band Association and staged in Hawick – in the High School – for the first time.

Well done to all bands who took part, creating a fantastic day of brass music in the Borders town.
