Stephanie Kennedy joins the cooperation band on Flugel Horn.
Stephanie studied at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland before continuing her studies at the Royal Academy of Music, Aarhus (Denmark) under the tutelage of Prof. Kristian Steenstrup where she gained her Masters in Music & Orchestra Performance.
She has since moved back to Glasgow, and has enjoyed a rewarding career performing, conducting and teaching across Scotland.
Stephanie Kennedy works regularly with BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra & The Scottish Opera Orchestra as well as being a Trumpet Tutor at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Juniors Department.
Stephanie also worked closely on a new Theatre Project with Lepus and most recently became a K&G Mouthpieces Ambassador.
Stephanie grew up in Campbeltown and progressed through the ranks of Campbeltown Brass Band, being one of the most isolated bands in the country, to become the bands Principal Cornet. From there she joined the Kirkintilloch Band on Repiano, and later became the bands Principal Cornet and led them to many contests including the Scottish Championships, British Open & National Championships of Great Britain.
Stephanie was also part of NYBBS from the age of 10, and enjoyed many summers at this course under the baton of Richard Evans. This led to many exciting performances, including a prestigious tour of Japan in 2008. She progressed to Principal Cornet & was the first person to be receive the Philip McCann Cornet Award.
