The section is very tight with only 11 points difference between the top and the bottom of the 18 band section.

Abbey Brass top the rankings with Royston Town close behind, the top 2 bands from 2022 have been promoted, so both Abbey and Royston will be looking for a good result to give them the best chance of promotion. Godalming and Tadley have both come down from the 3rd section and Godalming have been showing there intent with good recent contest results. The chosen piece 'Hungerford Town' offers some great detail to be found and wonderful opportunities to show the strength of the bands. Not one for the feint hearted with a piece that wouldn't be out of place in the 3rd section.
